College tuitions are always on the rise and very few families can actually afford to send their children to Ivy League schools. Many students that try to get into colleges of their choice may be able to make it into the school, but they may also have a difficult time paying the tuition. Does a college education really pay itself off in the end?

The truth of the matter is that a college education is only good if you are going to do something with it. If you are majoring in something that is going to make good money, then invest in the degree. If you feel as though you just want to go to explore education and just learn something, then it’s best not to go to college because you can learn something from just reading a book. A good college education doesn’t automatically guarantee that you will have a job. You have to understand why you are going to college and if the reason isn’t for you to get a better paying job, then you shouldn’t go to school. You can learn something by just reading a book and you don’t have to have a college professor in front of you teaching you about the subject.

If you don’t have any particular goal with attending college, then you may want to hold off on going until you do. College tuition is getting extremely pricey and most college graduates have years of student loan money to pay off after they graduate. The truth of the matter is that you don’t need a college degree to get a job these days. It’s more important to be friends with a President or Vice President of a major company because they will most likely be able to get you in. There are many jobs today that are being held by people that simply do not qualify. Many jobs are not held by graduates of Ivy League schools. You have to feel determined to succeed in life if you are ever going to get ahead. You have to be good at what you do. Your experience and work performance will be weighed much heavier than the grades that you got in school. Once you start a job, you have to realize that you’re not going to be able to keep it unless you can show your employer that you have the skills that they are looking for.

As you register as tutor you get a flexible job that you can adjust according to your college schedule. This way you can even polish your teaching skills as you study at your college. You can moreover pay off your college debts and save some money for yourself as well.

If you get a job because of your college education, then the tuition was definitely worth it. However, if you are working in a job that you could have had whether or not you had a degree, then it was definitely not worth it. You should focus more on your job skills and work experience more than getting straight A’s in school. They’re more focused that you are on your work skills, the better chances you will have to get your dream job. A college graduate or a non-college graduate may have the same chances if they know someone in the company. Work on your people skills and try to make friends with some people at the top. We are living in an era where who you know is more effective than what you know.
